Ripon Food Tour – A fantastic way to explore the oldest city in England and discover the delightful independent cafes and restaurants and their tasty fare.
Discover the essence of this ancient town, one of the smallest cities in England. You’ll marvel at the magnificent historical buildings and learn about its thriving market and rich history through the ages.
This little gem also boasts a vibrant community of independent bars and restaurants, each serving a selection of delicious dishes to delight your tastebuds. With a knowledgeable local guide and the company of fellow foodies, you’ll enjoy lunch at five different venues rather than just one, all while supporting local independents.
Your route will take you around the city and down to the river. Although the walk is easy, there are some cobbled streets, and you will cover about a mile in total. We recommend you have a light breakfast beforehand!
Since this is a food tour not everyone may want the same amount of drinks. One drink is included at the final stop but you have the opportunity to purchase additional beverages to pair with your tastings.

- The tour will start at 11 am and finish at 2 pm.
- Tours are available on Wednesdays, with other days possible upon request.

Your tour guide will meet you at the Obelisk in the Market Place in Ripon. Please ensure you arrive by 11:00 am for a prompt start.
Tours run in all weather conditions, so please dress accordingly. Layered clothing is recommended, and comfortable footwear is essential for a gentle walk.
