Description

Enjoy a 1/2 day introduction to Blacksmithing. The process of heating and forging hot metal is fun, fascinating and should be enjoyed by everyone, albeit pretty hard work but rewarding. The day starts at 9:30am where you’ll meet at the forge, for a complimentary hot drink, followed by a brief safety talk.

The master forger will then demonstrate the first piece you’ll forge, guiding you through the process. Then it’s hammers to the ready and get to forging some hot metal!! You’ll forge a fire poker and coat hooks throughout the day using a variety of techniques and tooling, then leave with your handy work at around 12.30-1pm.
