Description

Enjoy this four hour pottery class in celebration of your anniversary, 9th wedding annievrsary is ‘pottery’. This four hour pottery experience, is under the expert guide on how on the potter’s electric wheel, throw your own, paint it, then it’s glazed and fired. This class is suitable for maximum 5 people, as there are only 5 wheels with painting time afterwards.

This includes make and turning several pots and having a go on a slab roller or use the clay extruder to make other style pottery if you wish. Your guide works side by side demonstrating and guiding you all the way to achieve outstanding jugs, bowls and vases. You can then paint it either on the wheel or in the studio with brushes, tools and gadgets.

Your pot will be ready to pick up within a week. Parking is provided and free drinks and wheelchair access.

Rachel Byass Ceramics is run by owner Rachel, who has run the pottery business for 37 years and loves what she does.

The studio has been refurbished to a very high standard from its original use as an old Mill. The building is approximately 200 years old. A further large room has being added upstairs which accommodates 5 pottery wheels, 2 slab rollers and 6 large extruders. The studio seats up to 20 people running wheel lessons as well as paint your own pottery.

Rachel Byass Ceramics have a variety of resources and tools to make “Claying around” with clay a lot of fun. They also sell craft materials and rachel pottery.

The free car park has also been re designed to hold up to 8 cars and the studio has full wheelchair access downstairs.
