Description

This karting lesson for children as young as 6 can to start learning the art of kart racing. The aim of this lesson is to teach them the basics of kart racing, build confidence and provide the skills of basic controls and safe handling of the kart. Your little ones will be looked after and trained by one of the registered ARKS instructors and will safely navigate them through all the important first stages! 

This experience is approximately 1.5 hours long:

  • Biz 120cc Honda powered single-engine karts
  • All equipment supplied, adjustable seat and pedals
  • Entries must be booked in advance
  • Minimum height 1.2m

Please note that if a driver intends to wear a race helmet provided by the circuit, they are also required to wear a balaclava. Please either bring one with you, or you can purchase one at the venue for £2.50.

All children must be accompanied by an adult who must remain onsite and be responsible for the children during the time of the booking.

The Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan is one of the UK’s most challenging race circuits. The North West’s most challenging outdoor race track and go karting circuit.

Three Sisters Local Nature Reserve, aside from featuring a boating lake and picnic area, also boasts a thriving wildlife wetland. An extensive network of footpaths attracts walkers, cyclists and even horse riders. It is also home to one of the UK’s most exciting race circuits.

Notable motorsport celebrities associated with the circuit include Neil Hodgson, who won the 2000 British Superbike Championship – his first win came in 1990 at the Three Sisters Circuit. The circuit was also one of five to be chosen to host the 2006 season for McLaren Mercedes’ Champions of the Future, a series aimed at creating an environment in which young, aspiring drivers from all backgrounds could excel. The class champions that year were Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton (Cadet), Andrew Delahunty (Yamaha), and German Touring Car champion Gary Paffett (Intercontinental).

Licensed by Motorsport UK and the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), the Three Sisters outdoor race circuit in Wigan, Lancashire, is less than 45 minutes from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn, Bolton, Ellesmere Port, Blackburn, Rochdale, Preston and Southport.
