Kids novice karting for beginners Wigan, is for aged 8-15 years and requires no previous experience. This 2-hour introductory karting session, includes a track-walk and covers basic driving theory and skills. The professional instructors will teach you the art of karting in a structured manner and safe environment.
There are three levels, novice, intermediate and advanced. You will have the opportunity to progress to the next level, provided the instructor is happy with your progress.
10-minute karting sessions
The Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan is one of the UK's most challenging race circuits. The North West’s most challenging outdoor race track and go karting circuit.
The novice level requires no previous experience. This 2-hour introductory session includes a track-walk and covers basic driving theory and skills. Once completed, and provided the instructor is happy in the child's progress, the driver is able to move up to the Intermediate level.
The intermediate lesson lasts for 90 minutes and introduces drivers to concepts of racecraft and advanced driving techniques through a number of intense, 10-minute sessions. Provided the instructor is happy in the child's progress, the driver is able to move up to advanced training.
Advanced one-to-one training provides in-depth, personalised race tuition through a series of intense, 10-minute sessions throughout the 90-minute lesson. Advanced training is available at any stage of a driver's karting journey from rookie to championship winner.
Three Sisters Local Nature Reserve, aside from featuring a boating lake and picnic area, also boasts a thriving wildlife wetland. An extensive network of footpaths attracts walkers, cyclists and even horse riders. It is also home to one of the UK’s most exciting race circuits.
Notable motorsport celebrities associated with the circuit include Neil Hodgson, who won the 2000 British Superbike Championship - his first win came in 1990 at the Three Sisters Circuit. The circuit was also one of five to be chosen to host the 2006 season for McLaren Mercedes’ Champions of the Future, a series aimed at creating an environment in which young, aspiring drivers from all backgrounds could excel. The class champions that year were Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton (Cadet), Andrew Delahunty (Yamaha), and German Touring Car champion Gary Paffett (Intercontinental).
Licensed by Motorsport UK and the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), the Three Sisters outdoor race circuit in Wigan, Lancashire, is less than 45 minutes from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn, Bolton, Ellesmere Port, Blackburn, Rochdale, Preston and Southport.
