Two and half hour Fine Porcelain Jewellery Making Class in London. Porcelain is a beautiful, pure white material, the finest clay of the Earth. Strong and durable once fired on high temperature, but still thin and delicate. Elegant finish, endless possibilities. Wide range of beautiful coloured glazes, modern, classic, simple, complicated, sculptural, unique.

No previous experience needed, as you will be guided through the steps of jewellery making and teach you how to hand craft delicate jewellery pieces from simple to more elaborate shapes, and guide you through different methods. Learn techniques as; hand cutting, surface decorating, glazing, while making a range of pieces, including pendants, earrings, rings, brooches, and cufflinks.

Second hour, after sufficient drying time, is the cleaning/refining process. Final step is to choose colours, glazes and carefully applying on the finished pieces. After the class the finished jewellery need to be fired on 1250C, and fitted with findings. So after few days they will be ready to pick up in person or posted to participants address (postage fees applies)

Erika is a professionally trained porcelain painter. After her qualification course and China painter Diploma, she completed 5 years' experience in Herend Porcelain Manufacture, hand painting fine porcelain tableware. Her current work is making her own range of white Bone China and black porcelain tableware, hand painted with floral motives. She uses traditional techniques and skills, creating modern designs, with emphasis on the contrast between the perfection of detailed hand painting and the imperfection of handmade ceramics.
