Your child (6-7 years) can start learning the art of kart racing, with this fantastic offer for their first driving lesson, kids driving lessons at Three Sisters Circuit, Wigan. The aim of these driving lessons is to teach young children age 6-7 years, the basics of kart racing before they move up into the Cadet and Junior lessons, and then onto the karting club.

Your youngsters will be looked after and trained by one of the registered ARKS instructors who will do their best to help them through all these important first stages! (There is even a little homework)

There are 3 lessons available for them to progress through, available for ages 6 and 7 year olds as follows (driving lessons are approx. 1.5 hours each), this offer only applies to the first lesson.

  • Lesson 1: This is to build confidence and provide the skills of basic controls and safe handling of the kart.
  • Lesson 2: Teaches concept of the racing line, and correct cornering techniques.
  • Lesson 3: Covers racing lines, cornering techniques, driving standards, signals and flags.

Please note that if a driver intends to wear a race helmet provided by the circuit, they are also required to wear a balaclava. Please either bring one with you, or you can purchase one at reception for £2.50.

The Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan is one of the UK’s most challenging race circuits. The North West’s most challenging outdoor race track and go karting circuit.

Three Sisters Local Nature Reserve, aside from featuring a boating lake and picnic area, also boasts a thriving wildlife wetland. An extensive network of footpaths attracts walkers, cyclists and even horse riders. It is also home to one of the UK’s most exciting race circuits.

Notable motorsport celebrities associated with the circuit include Neil Hodgson, who won the 2000 British Superbike Championship – his first win came in 1990 at the Three Sisters Circuit. The circuit was also one of five to be chosen to host the 2006 season for McLaren Mercedes’ Champions of the Future, a series aimed at creating an environment in which young, aspiring drivers from all backgrounds could excel. The class champions that year were Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton (Cadet), Andrew Delahunty (Yamaha), and German Touring Car champion Gary Paffett (Intercontinental).

Licensed by Motorsport UK and the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), the Three Sisters outdoor race circuit in Wigan, Lancashire, is less than 45 minutes from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn, Bolton, Ellesmere Port, Blackburn, Rochdale, Preston and Southport.
