Easy To Do Halloween Party Ideas
Posted by LGE EditorAs the dark night’s draw in, summer seems a distant memory, it’s time to start thinking about Halloween festivities, we have some great Halloween party ideas and spooky experiences for you to try out.
1. Eyeful-Flowers – Spooky Table Centrepiece
Doll’s eyes inserted into flowers can create a quirky center piece for any buffet table or maybe place them in the bathroom at a children’s party to ensure hand washing.
2. Barbie Dance party
Broken plastic dolls are always creepy spray them white and use black markers to make them into ghostly figures. We’ve put them to dance around a fairy light tree so Trick or Treaters get a laugh.
3. Ghoulish Cocktails – Alcoholic and Non alcoholic
We have created our own versions of the french martini (Witches Poison) this can be made with and without alcohol. Suggested recipe ideas below based on the team at LGE making them up.
Witches Poison ! Non Alcoholic Cocktail for up to 4 people
- 100ml Pineapple Juice
- Large handful of ice
- Handful of blueberries
- 125ml Cranberry Juice
- Squeeze of half a lemon
Add all of the ingredients into the blender and mix for 30-45 seconds, or slightly longer, if required to make sure all the ice has been crushed. Pour into small glasses and top with a bit of fruit if your choice. All part of the 5 a day!
Witches Poison – Alcoholic Cocktail (for up to 4 people)
- 75 ml Vodka (vanilla optional)
- 75ml raspberry/blackcurrant liqueur
- Handful of blueberries
- 125 ml pineapple juice
- squeeze half a lemon
- large handful ice

4. A Ghoulish Tour
The air filled with cries and taunts, and a crowd of thousands baying for the blood of two men. Take your place as a member of the ‘Edinburgh mob’, which once surged in riot past the Mercat Cross. Hear grisly tales of witchcraft, torture and restless spirits as you venture down medieval closes and descend into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults. Your cloaked guide will lead you through the dimly lit caverns, filling the night with stories – all of them true. Stories of blood, guts, and gore. And a whisky to warm the heart.
