There are so many fantastic places to enjoy afternoon tea in Cheshire and to help the LGE ambassadors, we gave them a strict criteria and minimum rating checklist. We have chosen the best of the places that the LGE team visited for afternoon tea, all venues were unaware that they were being rated.

The Mere Golf & Spa Resort, Knutsford - Afternoon Tea from £19.95

Afternoon Tea at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa is a relaxed affair.  Enjoy a great selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve, alongside an assortment of mouth watering cakes and pastries. The Lowry Hotel, Manchester - Afternoon Tea from £22.50

Hallmark Hotel The Queen, Chester - Afternoon Tea from £22

The award winning Hallmark Hotel first opened in 1860, and this grand Victorian style hotel can be found close to the city centre, opposite Chester Station (Cheshire Large Hotel of the Year Award 2010).

An afternoon tea at the Hallmark Hotel The Queen is an indulgent affair offering a selection of scrumptious finger sandwiches, an assortment of  sweet treats, classic scones and a choice of flavoursome freshly brewed Clipper teas and a full range of speciality coffees and hot chocolates.

The Courthouse is one of the most iconic buildings located in the centre of Knutsford which has been refurbished to emulate the building's history and grandeur-style.  The Courthouse is also home to Barristers Restaurant & The Court Room.
